Тут на днях кино смотрели - там такой эпизод:

Женщина мужчине пишет на доске вопрос: Are you deaf?
Он ей в ответ пишет: Deaf and dumb!

Переводчик вслух нам это переводит так:
Ее вопрос: "Вы глухой?"

И его ответ мужика:
"Глухой и ТУПОЙ!"
