То, на что ссылается J. McMichael (serendipity.com) "Typical floor plan of WTC tower", есть картинка под названием "A perimeter of closely spaced columns, with an internal lift core."
Читаем у http://www.civil.usyd.edu.au/latest/wtc.php (http://www.civil.usyd.edu.au/latest/wtc.php) на которых ссылается тот же McMichael: "The structural integrity of the World Trade Center depends on the closely spaced columns around the perimeter. Lightweight steel trusses span between the central elevator core and the perimeter columns on each floor. These trusses support the concrete slab of each floor and tie the perimeter columns to the core, preventing the columns from buckling outwards." А то, что можно принять за мощную опалубку на приведенной раньше фотке, является строительством лифтовых и лестничных шахт.
По поводу полного нонсенса насчет алюминиевых колонн снаружи, читаем у них же: "Faced with the difficulties of building to unprecedented heights, the engineers employed an innovative structural model: a rigid "hollow tube" of closely spaced steel columns with floor trusses extending across to a central core. The columns, finished with a silver-colored aluminum alloy, were 18 3/4" wide and set only 22" apart, making the towers appear from afar to have no windows at all."
Выражаясь идиоматически - если танк раскрасить под дерево, от этого он деревянным не станет.
Я понимаю, что конечно программистам и прочим с инженерным образованием спорить на такие темы в удовольствие, но все-таки мнение людей, занимающихся гражданским строительством тоже можно уважить.
P.S. Про конструкцию здания я читал задолго до 9/11, потому как до последнего дня снимал там офис на 46ом этаже в первой башне. Так что это не происки и подтасовка фактов.
